Beaumont location now down in the South Valley at a school in Porterville that looks and feels just like a regular school but they're focusing more on the leadership and service to Country this is Porterville Military Academy we're at the main lobby at PMA this is where parents come and students come in where office is at where most of our administrators work now we're in the armed forces hallway so we want to paint murals of all the armed forces and recognize them who's our honour hallway this is where it's at a high school eats lunch and this is where the Middle School in the high school separate we have big plans for this hallway actually since seniors were actually the first graduating class of PMA we want to put up a lot of the first graduating class special people that served in positions this is the aviation oil or Aviation hallway and it has Aviation pictures and motivational speeches and also just motivation in general if you're here at PMA we offer in aviation pathway for Cadets get the opportunity to start their Aviation education through the testing pilot and aopa curriculums that we use here which of the aircraft owners and Pilots assoc and in middle school they begin their education through the use of drones programming drones flying drones building drones flying airplane flying in building airplanes do they move over to the artist simulator oh yeah take me to okay so what are you doing right now scenario place to watch okay so you pick the Las Vegas Airport okay so it's loading the terrain. what are you doing I am resetting the bottles and stuff easier joke a steering wheel for writers or what kind of what kind of math and you know what kind of I guess what kind of thinking goes into a simulator no the picture of turning white speed control slots a l'orange so when you come to the simulator do you fly like a specific and every Mission gives you a certain plane or you could pick your play and you at the pole like boundaries Landing horses like all that stuff my name is Leo Lozano and my son is Roberto Lozano he's in eighth grade and he attends a part of a military academy because it is a smaller school if my son is actually lagging on something I get a phone call home I get an email they know him by name they know me by name I get to know the other parents as a sense of community I'm so when it's kind of feels like it's not just him going to PMA and it's kind of her whole family refill Soca I think when we think of the word military we think of something that's super strict but it's not it's actually a Leadership Academy and they build leaders here and regardless of where they go and why we need more leaders alright well thank you guys so much for inviting me to your school showing me around take me on a flight to Vegas I appreciate it as students or parents are interested in sending their kids to the poor Military Academy how can you do that well you can either go to our website up for the portal Military Academy and apply there or you can call our school or you can come get us a visit at the school okay and can kids from outside the Porterville area can they come to school here yes very cool you guys thank you so much for inviting me out here I really appreciate it was a great time and you for coming we enjoyed it and next time we'll get you on the obstacles all right thank you so much and tear there cuz we have more Center Valley today when we come back
